Mephisto looks around at the universes via his 'orb' and discovers a new world. The TopCow-universe has a huge variety of heroes and villains and Mephisto sees a lot of potentials at corrupting this world his favorit timefiller! He especially likes the Sara and her Blade. But Mephisto is unable to cross worlds. He however discoveres an ancient wreck of a spaceship with dimensiontravelcapacity and tricks the Silver Surfer into shooting (and empowering) this ship.
When the Silver Surfer leaves Mephisto takes the ship and goes interdimensional. When in the TC-universe he toys around with Weapon Zero and lets Heatwave (of Cyberforce-team) disappear.
Cyblade (also of Cyberforce) meets Ghostrider (who is warned that Mephisto is tryiing to corrupt this other world) and try to track down Heatwave and figure out what is happening
They part ways but Ghostrider meets Ballistic and try to keep the bad stuff form spreading. It appears that Mephisto lets dead people live on!!
Ballistic also tangles with Wolverine (who is searching for a friend of his who disappeared) trying to save Heatwave but Heatwave definitely turned bad.
In the meanwhile Sara Pezzini wakes up finding herself without the Witchblade, with a partner who was not shot at all and apparantly she now is engaged with Ian Nottingham. Confused but kinda happy she goes to a restaurant where however Logan tries to kill Ian but mainly shatters the illusion Mephisto created in order to win Sara and the Witchblade over. Elektra comes also to the rescue but Mephisto sets the place on fire.
Sara uses the Blade to save Elektra and herself from the fire and are somehow transported and she and Elektra go on their own quest.
But eventually they get divided also and Elektra joins Cyblade to search for Heatwave and Mephisto, but in the climax Cyblade stops Eletra from attacking Heatwave, not believing he has gone to the other side. Alas...
Cyblade is captured and Weapon Zero joins the fun. But somehow the Silver Surfer comes to the TC-universe and with the help of Heatwave (who pulled himself 2gether) they throw Mephisto back and all is well again...or is it??!!
