Who is this mysterious woman who portrayed Vampirella on the covers of Vampirella Lives? To protect her Harris Comics have not revealed her name, and I suspect will not. She appeared on the photo editions of Vampirella Lives and then seemed to disappear again as quickly as she came, yet remains a firm favourite with the fans. Perhaps part of that is due to the so-called 'mature' cover (right) which isn't really very exciting, and simply shows a slightly more daring shot than the others. |

Photographs of this model were also used for the 'bad girl' covers for the Silver Anniversary issues and her photographic image was painted over (this information was from Terry Sanders - thanks Terry). Personally I feel that neither the Vampirella Lives photo covers nor the Silver Anniversary covers do her justice as Terry's photos above show her to be far more attractive than her cover images suggest. |
